A Shared Responsibility

A united community protecting our natural heritage against invasive species and preserving water quality for future generations.

Why we exist

The Pope Lake Protection Association (APLP) is a non-profit community organization created by passionate citizens in response to the urgent need to protect our beloved lake.

  • Invasive aquatic species such as the Eurasian watermilfoil
  • Deterioration of water quality (acidity, nutrients)
  • Propagation of invasive species from connected water bodies
  • Only a coordinated and scientifically informed community action can effectively preserve our aquatic heritage.
